Tainan City Anping Reclaimed Water Plant New Construction Turnkey Project - Groundbreaking Ceremony

The groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 18, 2020 for "Tainan City Anping Reclaimed Water Plant New Construction Turnkey Project" (Bid No.: wat108129) under the auspices of Premier Su Tseng-Chang, Mayor Huang Wei-Che, Secretary General of the Executive Yuan Li Meng-Yen, Minister of Economic Affairs Wang Mei-Hua, and various public representatives and contractors.

The Anping Reclaimed Water Plant is one of the six water reclamation demonstration projects in Taiwan. The plant includes a new reclaimed water plant and environmental education center, a 23-kilometer long water pipeline, the construction of a distribution tank in the Southern Taiwan Science Park, and the operation of the plant for 15 years after its completion, with a total investment amount of NT$10.2 billion.

The water quality requirements of the Anping Reclaimed Water Plant are more advanced and meet the 21 water quality standards for advanced processes in the high-tech industry, so that there is no need to worry about unstable water quality and quantity affecting production capacity. The use of reclaimed water for industrial use will not only stabilize the industrial development of the Southern Taiwan Science Park, but also reduce the risk of insufficient water resources for people's livelihood.
