Procurement Integrity Platform Officially Launched on March 5, 2020.

The Water Resources Bureau ("WRB" or "the Bureau") is overseeing the "Tainan City Anping Reclaimed Water Plant New Construction Turnkey Project" with a total budget of NT$10.2 billion. The procurement amount is over NT$7.2 billion, and the quality of the public works project is crucial to satisfying the water demands for the semiconductor industry in the Southern Taiwan Science Park. Based on the idea of facilitating smooth execution of major projects, the Civil Service Ethics Office and the WRB plan to set up an integrity platform for major project procurement cases, which will be integrated in a cross-disciplinary manner and draw on the professional opinions of relevant authorities (units) and experts and scholars as a reference for procurement and contract performance. This is hoped to prevent the occurrence of possible deficiencies, avoid undue interference from external forces, and to enable civil servants to be accountable and courageous in their duties, to take into account the reasonable rights of contractors and suppliers and to improve the quality of public works construction.
