The opening ceremony of Tainan Anping Reclaimed Water Plant was held on March 20, 2024, with the attendance of Wu Tang-an, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of the Interior; Wu Hsin-hsou, Director- General, Construction and Planning Agency, Ministry of the Interior; Huang Wei-che, Mayor of Tainan; Han Rong-hwa, the Director-general of Water Resources Bureau; Chen Ting-fei, a member of the Legislative Yuan; as well as various city council members. The event marked a new milestone in the sustainable development of water resources, aiming to alleviate the water shortage crisis in southern Taiwan and stabilize the water supply for the high-tech industry. At the same time, the “Government Procurement Integrity Platform for the Anping Reclaimed Water Plant New Construction Turnkey Project” has also empowered the competent authorities to successfully complete the phased objectives. Moving forward, the Water Resources Bureau (WRB) of the Tainan City Government will continue to internalize and promote best practices in transparent and integrity-driven governance, integrating these principles into major infrastructure projects. This commitment aims to safeguard clean governance, uphold public trust, and foster a high-quality, transparent, and integrity-driven Greater Tainan.
